Knitting Strike Over, Christmas Knitting Strike? Possible.

I can tell by the lack of comments (from my fellow knitters) that some of you are not speaking to me because of my recent negativity toward knitting. :-) LOL Rest assured, the strike is over. It actually didn't last very long... I realized the error of my ways. I picked up the yarn, apologized for stabbing it with the knitting needle and all is well with the knitting world again. So now I am making Steve a scarf for his birthday. It's ok, he knows about it. I'm making it with BabyGrande Alpaca Wool in Dark Grey- k2, p2 ribbing on 11's. It's knitting up pretty fast which is good, because ribbing is BORING! Just the fact that Steve is going to love it and wear it with pride is enough to keep me going.

Can I just say that I can't wait until Christmas is over? There are 51 days until December 25th and I can't WAIT until December 26th! Nice attitude, huh? Here's why. The Season of Mists Shawl and the Sangria Shawl. I can't wait to start working on these and it's just not going to happen until after Christmas. I also want to try to make a pair of socks and a hat... See? It's not because I dislike the holiday, it's because I can't knit what I want when I want. I just want to be an independent knitter!

Now, having b*tched about Christmas I will say that I am very excited about the one positive thing that has recently been brought to my life. Holiday beverages at Starbucks. That's right- Gingerbread Latte is back. Life is good.
